The position
is likely to be filled by a scientist using cognitive neuroscience/functional neuroimaging/behavioral psychopharmacology methods. Directors should pursue bold long-term research agendas in their departments, lead the Institute together with fellow Directors and Max Planck Fellows, and help create an enthusiastically collaborative culture among departments and independent research groups.
The main criteria for appointing Directors are scientific and scholarly excellence and an innovative and unique research program. The Institute is looking for the strongest and most creative scientists and offers an excellent international research environment. The successful applicant will have access to an outstanding infrastructure that includes dedicated MRI scanners and long-term scientific funding. The Institute operates in the English language.
