They are currently seeking a CFO to join their leadership team and take responsibility for the overall financial management of thepany. The role will focus on driving financial strategy, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and supporting investor relations and financing efforts to ensure sustainable growth. 1. Overall Financial Management: Taking responsibility for theprehensive financial management, overseeing key areas such as controlling, accounting, investor relations, strategic finance, and legal
2. Ensuring reliable and timely financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including forecasts, financial statements (HGB, ideally IFRS), and cash flow management. Developing tools and processes for efficient and automated financial operations
3. Developing and implementing a robust and scalable financial strategy, including liquidity planning, budget control, and KPI management
4. Using data-driven insights to steer thepany's financial performance, focusing on growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability
5. Taking responsibility for equity and debt financing (VC, PE, banks, subsidies) in collaboration with the management team, including financial modelling, business case ownership, and investor relations
6. Crafting and presenting apelling equity story, particularly during fundraising campaigns, and building strong, transparent, and strategic relationships with investors
7. Setting-up scalable financial standards for a potential IPO route
8. Managing corporate legal matters, including contracts, legal structure, regulatory requirements, and coordination with external law firms
9. Leading the cross-functional finance team, taking responsibility for strategic team development and efficient management of external partners - fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team
10. Acting as a strategic partner to the executive team and business units, helping shape thepany's overall strategy, roadmap, and operational excellence
11. Taking responsibility for risk management, implementing robust internal control systems, and providing strategic advice to ensure thepany's continued success
Who we are looking for
12. University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field with excellent grades
13. Taking on several years of experience in a senior finance role such as CFO, VP Finance, or Director of Finance, ideally in a growth-oriented, investor-backed environment
14. Proven track record in managing major financial transactions, including large funding rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and significant bank loans, preferably in a private equity environment
15. Taking responsibility for deep knowledge in controlling, accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and investor relations
16. Experience in project business is a requirement
17. Taking responsibility for building scalable financial structures and implementing digital tools to automate finance processes
18. Demonstrating confidence in dealing with investors, banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders, with a proven ability to lead teams and foster a culture of trust, clarity, and collective growth
19. Taking responsibility for a strong strategic mindsetbined with excellent analytical skills and the ability to take a hands-on approach when needed
20. Fluency in written and spoken German and English
