The Role We are looking for a Design Engineer / Technical Product Designer with strong experience in mechanical / steel construction design. You will design GlassPoint’s solar-thermal plants and pilot installations focusing on creating precise manufacturing and assembly drawings for our parabolic trough collectors and enclosure structures. You will collaborate with structural, mechanical design, and operations teams to shape processes and drive efficient production. Key Responsibilities Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings for parabolic trough collectors and enclosure structures Produce and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) 3D modeling of assemblies and components using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks Support the development and implementation of assembly concepts Participate in production approvals, acceptances, and technical changes Develop and structure CAD data management (PDM), drawing standards, and planning processes in collaboration with the operations department Collaborate closely with structural and mechanical design teams and the operations department Qualifications & Profile Completed degree (masters or bachelors or equivalent) as a design engineer, technical product designer or comparable qualification At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering, steel construction, or plant engineering In-depth knowledge of 3D CAD systems (Inventor, SolidWorks) Basic knowledge of 2D AutoCAD is advantageous Experience in creating manufacturing documents and dimensional drawings Solid grounding in general engineering principles: mechanical engineering and steelwork Structured, independent working style with a passion for helping to shape processes within the company English proficiency, German is a strong plus Team spirit, technical enthusiasm, and a start-up mentality Willingness to travel and participate in on-site prototype assembly Why Join Us Work at the forefront of industrial decarbonization and solar innovation Join a small, award-winning, and highly skilled team where your work has real impact Enjoy an open, collaborative, and hands-on company culture Be part of an international organization that values creativity, initiative, and growth A modern, welcoming office environment with excellent access to public transport #J-18808-Ljbffr
