Job Description
Team Leadership and Support
* Manage and support a small team of data entry specialists, and data specialists.
* Assign and prioritize work to meet business needs and timelines.
* Provide hands-on support where needed.
Hands-on Data Delivery
* Actively contributes to data quality initiatives.
* Track and define tasks from the KPI boards.
* Ensure data tasks are manageable and divided in smaller chunks where needed.
Execution and Coordination
* Translate direction from the Vice President of Data into clear tasks and short-term plans.
* Track work in progress and communicate status, risks, and dependencies.
* Serve as the first point of escalation for (non-transformational) data-related issues.
Data Quality and Best Practices
* Maintain basic data standards, documentation, and naming conventions.
* Ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of core datasets.
Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data operations.
* 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring others (formal or informal).
Technical Skills
* Familiarity with PowerBI and operational reporting.
* Familiarity working Jira.
* Comfort working directly with business stakeholders.
Soft Skills
* Practical, hands-on problem-solving mindset.
* Clear and direct communication skills.
* Ability to balance delivery work with team leadership responsibilities.
