Join our HRZ as soon as possible on a permanent, full-time basis as a Technician or Specialist (m/f/d) for Fire Alarm and Alarm Systems If the collective agreement requirements are met, remuneration will be based on pay scale 10 TV-H. Your environment The HRZ enables tomorrow's discoveries with today's IT – join us in the communications engineering team. Here, you will administer JLU's hazard warning and BOS radio systems with associated hardware and software components for security in administration, research, and teaching. Your tasks at a glance Operational management, troubleshooting, maintenance, and further development of the central and decentralized components of the hazard warning systems and the BOS radio systems on university premises Design, further development, planning, implementation, and administration of special (fire extinguishing) systems and early fire detection systems Data maintenance, documentation, and information on the university's information and communication cable networks Participation in construction meetings on the above-mentioned trades and service management 2nd-level user support/consulting for the above-mentioned services, systems, and services, as well as technical representation within the group Your qualifications and skills Completed IT-related vocational training or comparable experience and knowledge proven by many years of practical experience Many years of practical experience in the operation of hazard warning systems and communications technology systems In-depth knowledge of hazard warning systems Very good knowledge of BOS radio systems and the BOS radio directive; alternatively: very high motivation and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with this field Very good knowledge of access control systems Practical experience with and proven management skills for external service providers Good knowledge of information and communication cable networks, server administration, and networks/TCP/IP protocols Very good German language skills (at least level C1) Good knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Visio Class B driver's license Willingness to participate in on-call duty (approx. 7 one-week on-call duties per year) Analytical thinking and results-oriented approach to work, ability to work in a team and strong service orientation Above-average commitment What we offer you A varied job with flexible working hours Free use of local public transport (LandesTicket Hessen) More than 100 seminars, workshops, and e-learning courses per year for personal development, as well as a wide range of health and sports activities Remuneration in accordance with TV-H, company pension scheme, child allowance, and special payments Good work-life balance (certificate "audit familiengerechte hochschule" [family-friendly university]) JLU welcomes qualified applications regardless of biological and social gender, disability, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion, ideology, age, sexual orientation, and identity.
