We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Logistics Manager to join our team in Ludwigshafen.
About job:
* Manage all activities of the local logistics and tolling department: Oversee operations at the local, regional, and global levels according to established guidelines to achieve and exceed departmental goals in customer satisfaction, shipping and delivery performance, occupational safety, and health protection. Ensure all activities comply with Almatis instructions and national and international (trade) laws and regulations.
* Responsible for cost control and budget management: Ensure a cost-efficient supply chain and recommend investments to increase efficiency and improvement.
* Support the coordination of raw materials in the EU: Monitor the consumption and inventory of raw materials, process raw material deliveries in SAP, and internally distribute relevant information. Coordinate raw material deliveries and loadings with all parties involved (e.g., transport companies, ports, surveyors, agents). Assist in handling all raw material imports, including document preparation, etc.
* Responsible for the SPR function for tolling.
* Act as the European Trade Compliance Liaison.
* Provide leadership and strategic direction across all logistics and tolling functions, fostering a high-performance culture, developing team capabilities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
About you:
* Completed Bachelor's degree (preferably in logistics) from a four-year college or university preferred; or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant multi-year professional experience in an industrial production environment.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in transport and logistics, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams, preferably in a comparable position.
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage.
* Knowledge of all other computer-based programs and/or systems required to adequately perform the tasks of this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, SAP experience preferred.
