We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Wind Towers and Foundations Design Manager to lead the structural design and engineering of offshore and onshore wind turbine support structures. This role involves overseeing the design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize foundation and tower performance for onshore and offshore wind projects as well as designing the tower-foundations interfaces. Develop, lead and manage the design of onshore and offshore wind turbine towers and interfaces with foundations, including ofshore fixed-bottom and floating structures as well as onshore foundations.
Oversee structural analysis and load calculations to optimize design solutions.
Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to develop innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound designs.
Represent the company in technical interactions with customers and projects related to the towers design and foundations interfaces.
Manage and review design documentation, technical reports, and engineering deliverables.
Work closely with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and constructability of designs.
Support bid preparations and feasibility studies for new offshore wind projects.
Stay up to date with advancements in offshore wind technology and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in offshore wind foundation and tower design.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SESAM, SACS, ANSYS, Abaqus, FAST, Bladed) and geotechnical modeling tools.
Proven track record of delivering offshore wind projects from concept to detailed design.
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Knowledge of fabrication and installation methodologies for offshore wind structures is an advantage. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Ability to work with no supervision with an international team and to establish good team working relations is essential
Good travel disposition (about 15% of time) in support of customer needs and overall business objectives
