Work at the Charité
The Research Center for Cardiovascular Prevention (FS-CPC) was founded at Charité in July 2022 and aims to explore new avenues in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
The focus is on maintaining individual health and promoting research into innovative precision strategies.

The position at a glance
We are an interdisciplinary team of creative and innovative colleagues from various fields and are looking for motivated support for our genetics module with a focus on polygenic risk scores, with a variety of tasks to perform:
This area encompasses data management and data analysis in the context of cardiovascular research. This includes the management and quality assurance of omics analyses, the implementation and further development of standardized bioinformatics workflows, and the validation of genetic risk scores for heart disease.
In addition, these genetic models are compared with classic cardiovascular risk factors such as age, sex, blood pressure, cholesterol levels or existing cardiovascular diseases to enable integrated and robust risk assessments.

Your profile:
You have a PhD in Bioinformatics, Human Genetics, Epidemiology or Data Science with relevant experience in:
* Development of risk models, in particular genetic risk models (PRS)
* Risk communication
* Data Science / Data Management
* Epidemiology, especially experience with cardiovascular diseases
Furthermore, they possess the following qualities:
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary internal and external collaboration.
* Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
* Self-initiative and interest in continuous personal and professional development
* A structured, responsible and solution-oriented approach to work

* Pay grade E13 TVöD VKA-K. Here you will find all information regarding salary and collective agreement.
* Full-time employment with 38.5 hours per week is possible.
* The position is limited until June 30, 2028, as it is tied to the project duration.
* 30 days of vacation are standard for us.
