About the role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in leading our market’s multi-functional team to deliver accurate demand forecasts. You’ll act as the unbiased voice—“bringing the outside in”—to ensure Dyson’s planning is insightful and precise. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, SKU-level forecasts to the Supply team, enabling them to provide the right service and inventory levels. You’ll directly influence how we deliver for our customers and drive business results
1. Lead transformation of current demand planning processes and ways of working to implement a new, best-in-class Operating Model across the market.
2. Partner closely with the Sales team, validating and sense-checking forecast inputs, challenging assumptions, and providing the tools and insights needed for data-driven planning and effective communication.
3. Coordinate demand planning and budgeting processes, including leading the local Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
4. Develop bottom-up demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales and marketing inputs. Analyse demand patterns and identify key factors impacting fluctuations.
5. Design and implement reasonability tools that support 50/50 demand management principles, ensuring balanced and credible forecasts.
6. Take responsibility for overall forecast accuracy, lead root cause analysis for deviations, and drive action plans for improvement.
7. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain, providing accurate SKU/CRG sell-in forecasts to support service and inventory levels.
8. Maintain and communicate relevant performance KPIs, focusing on root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and meaningful reporting to stakeholders.
9. Proactively identify and lead initiatives for process improvement, support technology adoption, and build a network to share and apply best practices across markets.
About you
To succeed in the role, we expect you to have:
10. 6+ years of experience in demand planning. FMCG experience is a plus.
11. In depth knowledge of demand management and proven track record of delivering results in complex environments.
12. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
13. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
14. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
15. Proficiency in demand planning software and statistical forecasting techniques
16. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
