SAP EHS, Product Compliance, & Sustainability Consulting Director
ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Digital Services team. This role will lead in digital transformation projects, ensuring successful implementation of all life cycle stages of project execution; provide support and enhancement to SAP platforms and solutions as required to meet the overall business objectives of clients. The MC will manage the full project lifecycle and deliver measurable client outcomes aligned with ERM’s sustainability vision.
This is a client-facing consulting role, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Must Have Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Chemical / Environmental Engineering / Science.
2. Strong chemistry and Product Stewardship / compliance knowledge and experience
3. Experience with a minimum of six full life-cycle implementations including all phases
4. 6 to 8 years’ experience – consulting and/or industry; consulting project sales experience a must
5. >= 4 Full Cycle SAP Product Compliance deployments – ECC and/or S/4HANA – including all phases such as planning, defining requirements, design, build, test, and deployment
6. Strong Chemical / Pharmaceutical business and market knowledge
7. Strong SAP technical knowledge of specification database, materials management materials master & procurement, Logistics shipping & delivery, customer master and overall SAP landscape functionality & integration
8. Strong business process knowledge – Product Stewardship / Product Compliance, P2P, OTC, and Manufacturing
9. SME in Specification database / Substance Data Model, SDS authoring/distribution, DG classification/checks, GLM, Global product compliance / SVT including checks, and Discrete Product Compliance SPRC
10. Commercial acumen and drive – track record of customer relations, business development and proposal management
11. Project delivery skills – track record of technical delivery success to scope and budget
12. Track record of proposal preparation experience – Strong writing & estimating skills required
13. Rich personal contact network expected – industry EHS&S contacts, SAP & Partner ecosphere, consultant community
14. Self-motivated and driven
15. People skills – project staff leadership, client stakeholder engagement, client leadership relationship

Responsibilities
24. Lead opportunity development sales team on RFP preparation with the scope of work, level of effort estimation, timeline plan and high-level project plan.
25. Define and lead sales campaigns – platform, business requirement, solution based
26. Lead collateral content development and webinar preparation / delivery
27. Lead pre-sale solution demos
28. Evaluate EHS PS software systems available on the market, including assisting clients with system requirements and system selection. Provide advice on different EHS PS software systems in response to specific data, organizational and operational requirements.
29. Interact with clients on a routine basis to gather requirements and develop a full understanding of various business scenarios in order to assist with the development of appropriate proposals.
30. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of SAP methodology, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
31. Engage in all life cycle stages of project execution; provide support and enhancement to SAP platforms and solutions as required to meet the overall business objectives of clients.
32. Analyze user requirements, prepare requirements document, as-is & to-be processes and identify gaps.
33. Prepare for and lead project Blueprinting sessions with customer stakeholders to gather and document effective business requirements and translates requirements into functional and technical design specification documents.
34. Design processes to meet requirements and prepare functional specifications.
35. Facilitate management of change issues with the adoption of new information systems.
36. Collaborate with clients to develop/refine implementation strategy and on-going testing needs.
37. Prepare test plans, conduct testing validation, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
38. Implement SAP EHS Product Compliance software solutions such as SAP for clients worldwide. Assist with SAP system configuration, integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, and improvements.
39. Lead consultant teams that configure/deploy SAP EHS Product Compliance solutions; specific activities include publishing system design documents, configuring components within the solution, analyzing/migrating data, and specifying custom reports/dashboards and automated interfaces.
40. Provide knowledge transfer enablement through formal documentation and end-user training. Engage in system support and training documentation teams, prepare and present training to internal consultants and client system users.
