Our aerodynamics department is responsible for the aerodynamic design and characterization for all military aircraft programs along their product life cycle. We use numerical simulations, wind tunnel testing and flight test to understand the aerodynamic behavior and to create and deliver aircraft representative aerodynamic data and models for stability & control, performance, loads and aeroelastics as well as establishing envelopes for safe separation of external as well as internal stores and for plume ingestion. Besides, we give support to the production in terms of assessing the aerodynamics impact on non-conformities, repairs plus in-service incidents. Your main tasks: As successful candidate you will Analyze and assess the aerodynamic characteristics of high agility fighter aircraft Model and design aerodynamic datasets for stability & control, performance, and loads assessments Deep dive into flight test data and implement necessary dataset corrections Define, prepare, and support the conduction of wind tunnel and flight test campaigns and numerical simulations Drive the development of cutting-edge technologies for future aerodynamic dataset prediction, including data fusion and machine learning methods Desired skills and qualifications For our multinational team we are looking for candidates with the following qualities and skills: Educational Background: A Master’s degree or PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field. Technical Expertise: Proficient understanding of aerodynamics and flight mechanics, with a particular interest in fighter aircraft. Experience in flight test and wind tunnel data analysis is highly valued. Technical Skills: Strong programming abilities, along with familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data fusion algorithms. Analytical and Personal Attributes: Excellent analytical skills, reliability, assertiveness, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
