About the job
The Sales team in Germany is looking for an Account Executive for public sector to take ownership of named accounts within the Public sector. Our team is passionate about empowering the public sector to drive positive change, working together with purpose, creativity, and impact.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of Germany’s public sector by helping institutions unlock the power of analytics. You’ll grow alongside a supportive team, learn from industry leaders, and make a lasting impact by turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions.
As an Account Executive, you will:
1. Be responsible for achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives.
2. Manage and keep on growing an existing set of accounts within the Public sector.
3. Develop plans to identify areas that have the potential for further development and execute them.
4. Generate new business through strategic-based selling and managing relationships with customers.
5. Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers; work with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities.
6. Direct complex sales opportunities including implementation plans, which include the coordination of internal and/or external services.
7. Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
8. Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.
9. Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications
11. Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling complex software solutions and services to both business owners and IT stakeholders.
12. Experience in identifying and solving business challenges along the whole Public value chain.
13. Demonstrated experience in account mapping and in navigating in complex ecosystem.
14. Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Fluent in German and English.
16. Knowledge of analytics solutions and/or Cloud and services preferred, but it is not essential
17. Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

19. Advancing Sales Discussions - Plan specific customer communications to maintain momentum and enhance decision makers’ interest in proposed solutions.
20. Leveraging a Winning Sales Strategy - Generate options to achieve sales objectives; consider relevant factors (e.g., cost, benefits, risks, timing, buy-in, customer feedback) as well as the impact of each option on the customer and own organization.
