We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design. We are looking for a Chief Engineer to lead and scale our software engineering organization. As Chief Engineer, you will act as the technical backbone of the software organization and a sparring partner to the CTO, ensuring strong engineering practices, cross-team alignment, and delivery excellence. You will shape how teams work, define engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, and ensure synergies across robotics, autonomy, and software platforms. Your roadmap to make an impact Technical & Engineering Leadership Provide technical leadership across all software engineering teams, ensuring architectural consistency and technical excellence. Lead and oversee cross-team and integration projects across robotics and software systems. Remain hands-on by contributing to system design, critical integrations, reviews, and complex problem-solving. Organization & Team Building Build, scale, and mentor high-performing software engineering teams. Ensure healthy communication, strong engineering culture and collaboration across functional teams. Engineering Methodology & Standards Define and evolve engineering methodologies, coding standards, testing strategies, quality guidelines and development workflows. Balance pragmatism and rigor—enabling teams to move fast while maintaining quality. Strategy & Roadmap Contribute to and help execute the software engineering roadmap in alignment with company strategy. Ensure technical decisions support scalability, maintainability, and long-term growth. Who you are 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong technical foundation. Previous hands-on experience as a robotics, or software developer for mechatronic systems. Proven experience leading software engineering teams or acting as a technical leader across multiple teams. Strong understanding of how engineering teams function and how to scale them effectively. Comfortable making technical and organizational decisions while remaining hands-on.
