Based in Munich, Germany, you’ll work in a collaborative and supportive environment, providing strategic legal advice to our insurance and underwriting businesses across Europe. How you'll make an impact In this role, you’ll provide commercially focused, practical legal advice to support our insurance and underwriting businesses. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, helping them navigate complex legal matters and achieve their ambitious goals. From negotiating contracts to advising on mergers and acquisitions, you’ll play a vital role in managing legal risks and driving strategic projects that contribute to our growth. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, client service agreements, and insurer TOBAs. Advising on employment law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and dispute resolution matters. Supporting mergers and acquisitions, from origination to integration, in collaboration with our dedicated M&A team. Monitoring legal and regulatory developments across Europe and providing recommendations for change strategies. Developing legal templates, guidance notes, and efficiency initiatives to improve service delivery. About you Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: A qualification as a German lawyer (Volljurist/-in) with admission to practice law in Germany. A strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, with knowledge of the (re)insurance industry being highly desirable. Fluency in German and English, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms to non-legal stakeholders. A proactive approach to managing legal risks and providing strategic advice. A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across Europe.
