Cloud Infrastructure Expert
The ideal candidate is an adopter of virtualization, containers, and cloud infrastructure. You should love to automate everything that needs to be done more than once and will be in charge of migrating products using container technology such as Kubernetes and provisioning platforms like vRealize Automation.
Your scope will also embrace reverse engineering of the legacy architecture and key flows, understand its key weaknesses and readiness such as security, reliability, simplicity, performance, operational agility, and automation. Design out the weaknesses, work hand in hand with technical architects and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Migrate products using container technology such as Kubernetes
* Provisioning platforms like vRealize Automation
* Reverse engineer legacy architecture and key flows
* Design solutions to eliminate weaknesses
* Collaborate with technical architects and operational teams
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
2. Strong experience with container provisioning platform such as Kubernetes
3. Basic understanding of programming concepts
4. Preferably know one of the programming/scripting languages (Python, Javascript, Bash)
5. Strong experience in AWS
6. Knowledge of computer networking and virtualization
7. Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
8. Knowledge of Argo CD, artefact store (nexus) and API gateway
9. Knowledge of Kafka and GitLab
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
11. Initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail
12. Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential
13. Maintain documentation for all operational/support processes for the systems supported
14. Handle tickets within defined SLA
15. Be ready to handle on-call support in 24/7 manner and shift mode 7-20
Preferred Skills:
* Experience deploying and operating on public and private cloud frameworks
* Experience in Kubernetes, AWS
* Familiarity with service design in the context of cloud-based solutions
* Stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate
* Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
* Kubernetes certification is considered an asset
