Research Scientist in Midwifery Sciences Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Research Scientist to contribute to our Midwifery Sciences team at the University of Luxembourg. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 24 months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating Midwifery education and research under the direct supervision of an experienced academic leader. This will involve teaching, research, and administrative duties with a primary focus on teaching.
* Teaching: Assist with the development and delivery of teaching materials and workshops in the Bachelor's programs in health (midwifery sciences, nursing sciences, medicine) with a primary focus on the four-year Midwifery Sciences Bachelor program.
* Research: Develop research projects that align with the expertise and interests within the scope of the Midwifery Sciences research laboratory activities.
* Administrative duties: Support administrative tasks for the development of other teaching activities in Midwifery Sciences and future health programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver educational content to midwifery students in close collaboration with the Midwifery Sciences Study director, teachers, and tutors of clinical placements.
* Lead research initiatives in collaboration with internal partners from various faculties and interdisciplinary centers, as well as national and international partners.
* Assist with administrative duties for the development of other teaching activities in Midwifery Sciences and future health programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., midwifery sciences, nursing sciences, medicine).
* Experience in teaching, research, or administrative roles within a university setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Familiarity with research methods and statistical analysis software.
