Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Desktop Support Engineer to join the Roche IT team in Penzberg, Germany. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality technical support to end users, maintain and manage IT infrastructure tools such as SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory, and ensure seamless day-to-day IT operations through effective troubleshooting and ticket management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and other essential business applications.
* Deploy and manage software updates, patches, and system configurations using Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
* Administer and monitor device compliance, configuration profiles, and application deployment through Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
* Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions within Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi).
* Log and track all incidents through a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or Freshservice), ensuring timely resolution and detailed documentation.
* Support IT asset management, including hardware inventory, procurement, and lifecycle management.
* Assist in employee onboarding/offboarding by setting up devices, configuring accounts, and managing access permissions.
* Collaborate with global and local IT infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, compliance, and security.
* Create and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation for recurring issues and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in desktop or IT support roles.
* Hands-on expertise with SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management.
* Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
* Experience with IT ticketing systems for incident tracking and resolution.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
* Fluent in German (B2 Certified) and proficient in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft Certifications
* Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk).
* Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service management best practices.
