Company Introduction
The company is currently seeking a skilled accountant to join its finance team in Berlin. The role includes handling, reviewing, and posting business transactions, managing payment processes, and preparing financial reports and liquidity overviews. You will also assist in preparing tax filings, maintaining open items, and supporting dunning processes and monthly/yearly closings. The ideal candidate has completed commercial training or is a certified tax clerk, with strong experience in accounting and proficiency in DATEV. Experience in construction project accounting is a plus. The position is offered on a full-time or part-time basis with a permanent contract and competitive compensation.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
* Processing, checking and booking all business transactions
* Monitoring and processing of payment transactions
* Clarification and reconciliation of main, debtor and creditor accounts
* Contact person for internal and external partners in accounting matters
* Preparation of business analyses, liquidity overviews and cost accounting
* Participation in monthly and annual financial statements
* Knowledge of accounting for construction projects (e.g. interim and final invoices) is an advantage
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Completed commercial training or training as a tax clerk
* Proven track record of working as an accountant
* Confident handling of DATEV SME invoicing, Cost accounting classing
* MS office excel
* Strong level of German verbal and written
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
* Structured, conscientious and reliable way of working
* Team spirit and strong communication skills for trusting cooperation
* Extensive professional experience in all areas of accounting
* Further training as a financial accountant is an advantage
