KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Switchgears Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day We are looking for an experienced and accomplished function leader to join our team as the Head of Continuous Improvement in Grid Technologies Switchgears.You ensure global application of Lean principles by deploying the standard Manufacturing System across factories and staying closely connected with operations to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.You lead major Lean initiatives, coach Lean leaders worldwide, and help sites improve On Time Delivery (OTD), Factory Availability, and First Pass Yield (FPY). You guide teams through Kaizen events, streamline flow, reduce NCC, and accelerate improvement cycles.Your work stabilizes operations, reduces waste, increases productivity, and drives factories toward top operational benchmarks through structured problem solving and focused quality projects.You foster a collaborative Lean community, strengthen cross site alignment, and ensure proven methods and breakthroughs are rapidly shared and replicated across the global network.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Ensure Lean is practiced directly at the point of execution by leading Kaizen workshops, observing work on the shop floor, driving 5S, identifying waste, improving flow, and helping teams solve real operational problems through hands on Lean application
2. Deploy Lean strategy and standards globally, translating guidelines into practical routines; coach managers and teams in value stream mapping, takt/flow design, standard work, visual management, and structured problem solving
3. Partner closely with site leaders to embed Lean across the full value chain, supporting opportunity scoping, initiative prioritization, resource alignment, and disciplined execution of improvement plans
4. Build Lean capability across factories by coordinating practical training, running workshops, enabling Gemba based learning, and ensuring teams understand how to apply Lean in daily operations
5. Monitor progress using facts and workplace validation, driving KPI follow up, ensuring corrective actions are completed, and coaching teams through performance deviations using structured problem solving methods
6. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by integrating HOP principles, strengthening cross site collaboration, sharing best practices, coordinating Lean communities, and overseeing the Lean training programs to deliver practical training at all levels
What You Bring
7. A bachelor’s degree in a technical or operation-related field, preferably in a technical or operation-related field such as engineering, industrial engineering, production systems, or a comparable qualification
8. You bring several years of practical Lean and Operational Excellence experience in manufacturing or a related industrial environment, ideally within Siemens Energy or the Grid Technologies product business
9. Demonstrated hands-on leadership in driving continuous improvement, leading Lean transformations, and improving key KPIs is crucial
10. You have a strong background in Lean methodologies, including value stream design, flow optimization, and structured problem-solving, combined with the ability to embed HOP principles into improvement work
11. Proven capability in leading workshops, coaching leaders and Lean practitioners, and facilitating cross-functional improvement teams
12. You are comfortable operating in an international environment, with strong written English skills (additional languages such as German, Portuguese or Spanisch are a plus) and a readiness for regular travel
