Associate Director, Finance Business Partner CSL Plasma EU (m/f/x)

The Associate Director, CSL Plasma EU (Finance Business Partner) provides financial leadership and acts as a trusted partner to the Plasma EU leadership. This role is integral to ensuring the Plasma EU organization delivers its financial and operational objectives. This position enables the success of the CSL Plasma EU team through financial insights, partnership, and thought leadership needed to drive business performance. The role leads the financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across CSL Plasma EU with emphasis on delivering cost per liter and volume for the Plasma EU business.

This leadership position demands a strategic mindset, a commitment to performance excellence, and a focus on delivering data-driven insights enabling actionable decisions.

The role is a key team member on the Finance CSL Plasma team. The role works closely with the following teams:

3. CSL Plasma EU Teams (including Germany and Hungary)

4. CSL Behring FP&A Teams

5. CSL Plasma Finance

6. CSL Behring Finance Business Partners (FBPs) – Operations and Commercial Ops

7. Global Accounting Operations

8. Corporate FP&A

9. Finance Innovation

The Opportunity

Strategic Partnership and Decision Support:

10. Act as a trusted advisor to the Plasma EU Leadership Team by providing strategic financial analysis and recommendations.

11. Partner with leaders across the Plasma Organization to drive initiatives that optimize performance, reduce costs, and enable sustainable growth in EU markets.

12. Evaluate and recommend strategies for network expansion in EU

13. Provide scenario planning, data driven insights, and best-in-class visualization to enable informed decision making among key stakeholders

Financial Leadership:

14. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across CSL Plasma EU to deliver actionable insights and achiever business goals.

15. Develop and implement standardized financial planning tools, templates, and methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy.

16. Lead the monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting cycles for CSL Plasma EU, driving standardized reporting capabilities, including dashboards, across the function.

17. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to key stakeholders.

18. Collaborate with leadership teams to align financial plans with strategic business objectives.

19. Support transfer price calculation and product costing (standard price).

20. Deliver accurate Plasma EU cost per liter calculation, explaining key drivers of variance.

21. Provide financial analysis and support through internal reporting to Plasma EU functional departments with additional narratives, insights, and comments to assist meeting performance targets.

22. Evaluate financial impact for business cases, capital projects, programs, provide ad hoc analysis.

23. Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and external reporting requirements.

24. Provide financial analysis and support through internal reporting to Plasma EU functional departments with additional narratives, insights, and comments to assist meeting performance targets.

25. Support external audit process by providing documentation or analyses as requested.

26. Primary contact for external auditors during annual physical inventory observation (incl. bonded warehouse).

Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

27. Support and implement cost optimization programs to improve financial performance.

28. Ensure effective capital expenditure planning for Plasma EU, including working with network strategy/ capex finance team to create financial proposals with detailed financial modelling

29. Drive process excellence in financial planning and reporting activities, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across the CSL Plasma finance organization.

30. Support initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes and reduce cycle times for budgeting and forecasting activities.

31. Collaborate and active participant in financial systems and process improvements (e.g., automation, digitization) to support evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

32. Partner to develop presentations for CSL Plasma LT members and management teams.

33. Serve as a key financial partner to the function leaders and leadership teams, providing financial insights to drive decision-making.

34. Liaise with finance partners across CSL Plasma / CSL Behring to ensure alignment of financial plans and objectives.

Team Leadership and Development:

35. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals (FBPs).

36. Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

37. Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to support the organization’s financial goals

Your Skills and Experience

38. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Business related discipline

39. CPA/CA or MBA a plus

40. 8+ years of experience of progressive finance experience, including financial business partnering, planning, reporting, or related fields. Experience in the biopharmaceutical or manufacturing sector preferred.

41. Leading a team in budget and forecast cycles

42. Leading the month end close and reporting process

43. Experience with dashboarding and visualization software (e.g. PowerBi) is preferable

44. Experience supporting operations or commercial functions

45. Managing a small to medium-size team advantageous
