Your consulting projects will include integrating data virtually for operational and/or informational purposes. Projects may involve integrating 100+ data sources for a Customer Service Multichannel IT Infrastructure, implementing Logical Data Warehouses and Virtual Datamarts for modern Business Intelligence solutions, creating Integration Layers for Hadoop-based Data Lakes, and supporting Agile Operational Reporting on diverse Big Data infrastructures.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Denodo, you will play a key role in the sales of our Data Virtualization software. You will work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and demonstrate how our platform can meet those needs. You will manage the technical aspects of the sales cycle, employing your technical expertise and communication skills to coordinate between clients and internal teams to achieve sales goals.


Job Responsibilities & Duties

* Design, implement, and execute customer-specific integration projects based on the Denodo Platform.
* Educate, coach, and support clients during the introduction and ongoing use of the Denodo Platform to ensure high satisfaction.
* Diagnose and resolve client inquiries related to Denodo software products.
* Participate in problem escalation and call prevention initiatives to enhance client efficiency.
* Contribute to knowledge management and promote best practices for project execution.
* Implement product demos and pilots to showcase Data Virtualization in enterprise, cloud, and Big Data scenarios.
* Provide feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support, and Development regarding client needs and issues.


Desired Skills & Experience

* Experience of +10 years in relevant fields.
* University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
* Understanding of Data Integration techniques.
* Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational and analytical databases.
* Technical skills including Java development, JDBC, XML, Web Service APIs, and version control systems like SVN or Git.
* Basic experience with Big Data, NoSQL, and InMemory environments is advantageous.
* Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX server environments.
* Personal qualities: curiosity, proactive learning, active listening, creativity, and teamwork.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
* Willingness to travel.
* Experience in leveraging Employee Advocacy and Social Media for networking and brand visibility is a plus.
