The group advises corporates, private equity investors, and founders on mid-market M&A transactions, distinguishing itself through a highly commercial and strategic approach to deal‑making. This is a leadership appointment. The successful candidate will not only execute transactions but will also act as a "Deal Captain," driving processes from origination to closing. You will play a critical role in shaping the local team culture, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the commercial growth of the practice in the DACH region. Key Responsibilities Deal Leadership: Lead complex M&A mandates (sell‑side, buy‑side, and carve‑outs) as the primary project lead; own the process strategy, structuring, and negotiations. Commercial Origination: Support the partner group in business development efforts; identify potential targets, lead pitch preparations, and begin to cultivate a personal network of clients and intermediaries. Client Management: Act as the primary trusted advisor to C‑level executives and shareholders throughout the deal lifecycle; manage sensitive stakeholder dynamics and deliver high‑impact strategic advice. Team Supervision: Oversee and mentor Associates and Analysts; review financial models (DCF, LBO) and marketing materials to ensure quality control and team development. Process Management: Coordinate all workstreams, managing external stakeholders (legal, tax, technical) to ensure efficient and successful deal closures. Candidate Profile Minimum of 8 years of experience in M&A Advisory within a reputable Investment Bank or M&A Boutique. Proven track record of managing full deal lifecycles independently, with specific exposure to mid‑market transactions. Strong technical foundation; able to guide the team on complex valuation and modelling issues while focusing on the broader deal strategy. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; confident in presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build a team and drive business growth in a dynamic environment. Fluent in German and English.
