1. Perform macro and micro geometry design of gears and gear systems
2. Optimize gear tooth root geometry using FEA and fatigue models
3. Design and 3D model mechanical components: gears, shafts, washers, housings, etc.
4. Create technical drawings and tolerance stacks according to automotive standards
5. Support DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and design reviews
6. Interface with internal prototyping and validation teams
7. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure process-feasible designs

9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
10. Ideally more than 2 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in powertrain or gear applications
11. Prior exposure to automotive environments preferred
12. Proficient in 3D CAD (e.g. Creo, CATIA, or similar) and GD&T
13. Basic understanding of gear design principles (macro/micro geometry, contact patterns) and familiar with gear design tools (KISSsoft, Masta, or similar)
14. Basic understanding of gear manufacturing processes
15. Structured working approach and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
16. Fluency in English is mandatory. German language proficiency is desirable, while fluency in Chinese would be a significant asset
17. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
