Executive Search Consultant, Private Equity (C-Suite)

The Opportunity
Our client is a high-performing boutique executive search firm specialising in private equity-backed businesses and senior leadership appointments. With established offices in Amsterdam and London, and a strong track record delivering retained C-suite mandates, the firm is entering an exciting new phase of growth.
Following continued success in the German market, previously delivered remotely from Amsterdam, they are now launching a Frankfurt office. You will work directly alongside an experienced Associate Director to build and scale the German offering.
This is a rare opportunity to join at ground level in a high-value, high-impact market, with genuine visibility, ownership and long-term growth potential.
The Role
This is a 360 executive search position focused on retained mandates within the private capital ecosystem.
You will play a key role in establishing the Frankfurt office, with responsibilities including:
* Winning and delivering retained executive search mandates with private equity funds and portfolio companies
* Managing full lifecycle C-suite search processes, with typical mandates ranging from €160k to €400k+
* Building and developing long-term client relationships across Germany
* Conducting detailed market mapping and headhunting of senior executives
* Producing high-quality shortlists and longlists
* Acting as a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates throughout each process
* Partnering closely with the Associate Director to drive regional growth strategy
About You
We are looking for a high-calibre recruiter with a strong track record in senior-level hiring.
You will bring:
* 5 to 9 years’ recruitment experience, ideally within private equity, private capital, real assets, investment banking, or legal recruitment at partner level
* Proven experience delivering C-level or senior leadership mandates
* Strong business development capability, ideally with exposure to retained search
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A highly articulate, analytical and consultative approach
* Native or C2-level German, with business fluent English
* A forward-thinking, adaptable and entrepreneurial mindset
* A university degree, ideally
