Your tasks
8. Leads and steers technical development activities within the global cross-functional projects with high complexity (e.g. complex interface management, complex problem definition, and/or long-term impact) with high risk potential and/or strategic impact, for his/her area of responsibility within the product portfolio.
9. Coordinates with Product Owners on timelines and is accountable for necessary technical contributions to PI planning as well as planning and coordination of technical development activities.
10. Leads a (laboratory) team technically and supports the technical development of assays and assay components of diagnostics with his/her expertise.
11. Prepares decision making by providing information and analysis and interpreting product/project risks.
12. Recognizes and follows new developments in the field and proposes them for use in diagnostics. Strives to continuously improve the technical expertise of stable agile teams
13. Ensures collaboration and close networking with internal departments and external partners on R&D projects and new technology developments based on agreements and contracts. Promotes the development of a technical lead community, including technical experts from other customer areas and functions (e.g. RRD, CSI, DSI, RED, GRA, GO).
14. Analyzes and interprets the R&D results and presents them to the relevant committees within own function and supports possible publications of the results.
15. Independently develops new solutions outside of known solution approaches.
Your profile
Must Have:
16. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (e.g. biochemistry, biology, molecular biotechnology, chemistry) with 5-7 years of professional experience in the development of diagnostic solutions or a PhD in biochemistry or a related field.
17. Experience in the technical management of matrix organizations
18. Experience in assay development or in vitro diagnostic solution development and technical supervision of staff is essential.
19. Business fluent in English (meetings, partner communication etc.)
20. At least good German language skills also required
21. Strong stakeholder management skills in relation to technical project aspects
22. Good communication and presentation skills
23. Ability to delegate tasks while maintaining responsibility
24. Strategic thinking and the ability to make sound and timely decisions
25. Openness to new ways of working and cultural changes
Nice to Have:
26. Deep experience in IVD assay development and technical solution design, preferably coagulation or clinical chemistry
