Responsibilities:
1. Patent attorney support and advice for business units and inventors on all matters relating to industrial property rights
2. Proactive involvement in the development and implementation of IP strategies for business groups
3. Patent attorney support for development projects and involvement in securing property rights for result
4. Implementation and creation of IP training courses
5. Responsibility for the creation and registration of patents, utility models, trademarks, and designs, and management of the granting/registration process in Germany and abroad
6. Responsibility for the enforcement and defense of proprietary intellectual property rights and the defense against third-party intellectual property rights in Germany and abroad
7. Support for the business units in Freedom-to-Operate Analyses in Germany and abroad
8. Participating in the creation of IP regulations in contracts in an interdisciplinary team
9. Performing IP Due Diligence in interdisciplinary and global teams
Qualifications:
10. Successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics, or electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
11. Admission to the European Patent Attorney and/or German Patent Attorney
12. Preferably several years of professional experience in a patent law firm or in the patent department of an industrial company
13. Very good communication skills for clearly presenting complex legal issues
14. Strong team player, independent and efficient way of working, high level of accuracy, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, resilience, and initiative
15. Confident use of IP management software
16. Business fluent German and fluent English
