Location: Flexible (across Europe)

Department: Sales

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Director to lead and grow our direct sales efforts across Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling complex software solutions to energy companies, with a deep understanding of the industry’s procurement processes, regulatory landscape, and the unique challenges in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business and expand existing accounts in the energy sector across Europe.
* Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in energy utilities, oil & gas companies, and power grid operators.
* Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, RFP/RFI responses, solution presentations, contract negotiations, and closing.
* Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and pre-sales teams to tailor messaging and demos to customer needs.
* Forecast and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends to senior leadership.
* Navigate complex and often long procurement processes, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal delivery capabilities.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to enhance visibility and generate leads.


Requirements:

* Minimum of 7+ years of proven sales experience in software or cybersecurity, with at least 3 years selling into the energy sector .
* Demonstrated success in closing large enterprise deals and managing long, complex sales cycles.
* Deep understanding of procurement, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in energy and critical infrastructure environments.
* Strong network of contacts within the energy industry in Europe and/or North America.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced company.
* Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%).


Preferred Qualifications:

* Background in cybersecurity, operational technology (OT), or industrial control systems (ICS) is a strong plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
* Multilingual capabilities alongside English (especially in German, French, or Spanish) are advantageous but not required.
