Your tasks
- Complex organic synthesis for the development of active diagnostic reagents: Independent conception, planning and execution of (highly) complex preparative syntheses (including total syntheses) while adhering to the highest quality and time standards.
- Chemical modification of particle surfaces to achieve specific functionalities
- Physical and chemical characterization of the synthesized molecules and subsequent functional evaluation of the modified particles
- Continuous research and evaluation of literature and patents to ensure the "state-of-the-art" in preparative organic chemistry and process chemistry.
- Active participation in local and global, cross-functional project teams to solve complex scientific problems, as well as independent implementation of changes in the change tool.
- Responsibility for compliance with occupational safety, environmental protection and quality management (GMP) requirements
Your profile
Must Have:
- Successful PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Organic Synthesis (Total Synthesis), Macromolecular Chemistry or Interface Chemistry
- Excellent knowledge of preparative organic chemistry and sound experience in process chemistry
- Sound understanding of interfacial chemistry as well as experience in the physicochemical characterization and modification of particles
- Knowledge in the development of diagnostic agents or comparable active components
- Fluent German and English skills
Nice to Have:
- Interest in working in an S2 laboratory (safety level 2)
