Quality Inspector – Key Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all assembly and production activities comply with the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, including the Production Line, Flight Test, and Delivery Center phases.

Main Duties

• Conduct mechanical, electrical, and structural inspections of aircraft components and assemblies.
• Verify the quality of sealant applications, paint finishes, and skin panel installations.
• Inspect both composite and metallic structures to ensure conformity with engineering specifications.
• Perform inspections of brackets, fasteners, riveting, piping, hydraulic systems, fuel tanks, and electrical installations.
• Carry out final inspections and close outstanding quality points prior to delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, including DQ1 reports and concession requests when required.
• Assess product quality, identify non-conformities, and perform defect characterization and mapping on structural elements and skin panels.
• Create, monitor, and manage non-conformity reports (NCs) within Airbus quality systems.
• Apply and enforce company procedures related to quality, safety, and security standards.
• Maintain accurate follow-up records for work orders, aircraft inspections, and non-conformities.
• Report quality system failures and product discrepancies, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operational management, including Activity Managers, Work Package Responsible personnel, Team Leaders, and Operations Leaders.
• Support customer meetings, quality reviews, and presentations whenever required.

• Solid understanding of the aerospace industry, including safety, security, and quality regulations.
• Extensive experience performing inspections on Airbus aircraft in mechanical, electrical, and structural areas.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, brackets, fasteners, sealants, drilling operations, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as engineering drawings, work orders, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing instructions.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, and Airbus internal tools such as Zamiz, Tandem, ACPnG, IBM, and related systems.
• Familiarity with follow-up and quality tracking tools such as TLB and QLB.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality, responsiveness, and on-time delivery.
• Experience using measurement and testing equipment, including voltmeters, multimeters, gap guns, and similar inspection tools.
• Proven ability to identify, document, and follow up on non-conformities until resolution.
• Strong report-writing skills, producing clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate customer audits, inspections, and technical reviews.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
