Vickerstock are working with a leading civil engineer to recruit Graduate and Junior Civil Engineers across the South West of Ireland
Location: Cork, Kerry, Limerick and surrounding areas. Accommodation can be provided Monday to Friday
Role: Junior Civil Engineer
Sector: Water & Waste water
Your new role
As a Junior Civil Engineer you will work across the below areas:
* Site Supervision - including the supervision of subcontractors, ensuring works are completed according to company standards
* Quality - including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
* Project Management - taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
* Construction Software & Processes - using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more
You will:
* Work on a large-scale Water & Wastewater project in Munster
* Supervise subcontractors
* Review works on site and report back to management
* Perform quality checks
* Ensure regular documentation is completed
* Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Wastewater Plants and infrastructure
What you'll need to be successful
* At least 1 year of practical experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts!)
* Experience in Water, Wastewater, Utilities or Public Roads
* Willingness to learn new areas of construction and grow your career
* A full Irish or UK Driving Licence
* The right to work in Ireland or Northern Ireland indefinitely
* The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland
Please note this role requires location flexibility and flexibility to work shift patterns if required
