We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT Governance, Risk & Compliance to play a key role in an organisation currently undergoing a substantial digital transformation. This is a rare opportunity to help design and mature the second-line IT risk function while working closely with first and third line teams.
You will lead an established team, hire additional colleagues as the function grows, and take ownership of shaping effective IT standards, risk assessments, controls, and compliance frameworks.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and further develop the IT Governance, Compliance & Risk team
* Drive the development and enhancement of IT risk assessments, controls, and governance structures
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, internal, and contractual requirements (IKR, ISMS, supervisory guidelines, laws, licensing/copyright rules, etc.)
* Actively support the implementation of robust information security governance in collaboration with the internal control system
* Identify, assess, and manage IT risks, developing appropriate mitigation measures
* Create and maintain IT policies, guidelines, processes, and instructions
* Monitor regulatory and legal changes and develop implementation proposals
* Coordinate and support internal and external IT audits
* Collaborate closely with 1st and 3rd line functions to ensure alignment and transparency
Your Profile
* Strong experience in IT Governance, IT Risk Management, Information Security or a related field
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as DORA, MaRisk, VAIT/BAIT, or similar
* Experience leading teams and building new IT risk or governance structures
* Strong understanding of IT risk assessment, control design, and governance processes
* Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
* Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across business units
