The role
We are seeking a senior Project Director to bring decades of experience into our organisation for the leadership of major projects. The role involves working with Engineers, Owners and Contractors in the consulting and engineering space for both Client side and Design and Build/Alliance projects. Your mandate will support existing and future engineering and design projects, key Transport initiatives and include the development of future opportunities and the wider German market. The role is based in either Hamburg or Berlin, with short‑term international travel expected.
Your key responsibilities will be
* Major Project delivery and oversight
* Working with top management and corporate stakeholders for the development of the German market
* Project and commercial management of key projects
* Inspire, motivate and engage with employees, partners and customers through inclusive leadership, driving curiosity and enthusiasm
* Collaborate with leaders across the company to support strong collaboration and ensure resource allocation for the benefit of employees and clients’ projects
* Participate actively in innovation, automation and digitalisation within existing and future service areas
About our ideal candidate
* Strong demonstrable experience in senior roles for engineering and design on major infrastructure and transport projects in the German market
* Experience in civil infrastructure in Germany with a focus on bored tunnel, metro, rail projects; major road schemes are of interest
* Very good communication skills in written and spoken English and German
* Affiliation and memberships with professional bodies recognised within the industry
