Your creative field We are looking for a full-time, permanent Senior SEO Manager (AI Search & Organic Growth) (all genders) to join us as soon as possible. SEO is changing – and you’ll be right at the center of it. As a Senior SEO & AI Search Marketer, you will take ownership of Contabo’s entire organic growth strategy: from classic SEO and technical optimization to AI-driven search strategies (GEO). Your mission: making Contabo visible everywhere – in Google blue links, AI-generated results, and in the minds of our target audiences. In your first months, you will audit our current SEO performance and presence in AI-driven search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini. You will develop a strategy that combines E-E-A-T with the requirements of new search environments, and set up monitoring frameworks and AI rank-tracking tools to measure visibility and brand sentiment. In the medium term, you will build scalable content programs, run Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) experiments, and establish processes that push Contabo forward in both AI answers and organic rankings. You’ll leverage automation tools like n8n or Make, set up dashboards with GA4 and Looker, and share your insights with all relevant stakeholders. In the long run, you will establish Contabo as a leading player in SEO & AI Search : with clear entity signals, a solid technical foundation, visible expertise, and reusable playbooks for international markets. In short: you will build an organic growth engine that sustainably drives traffic, sign-ups, and trust – lowering our CAC and fueling our continued growth. What convinces us Your personality, combined with: Must-haves: 6–8 years of experience in SEO/Organic Growth with proven results 1–2 years of hands-on experience in AI Search / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Strong technical SEO skills: crawling, indexation, sitemaps, page speed, hreflang, internal linking Solid experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer, Yoast Proficiency with GA4, Looker, and data analysis (including traffic segmentation, dashboards) Excellent English skills (written and spoken); German is a plus Ability to translate complex SEO/GEO concepts into clear business impact Background in international SEO across multiple markets Should-have: Experience in Cloud Hosting, SaaS, Developer Tools, or Tech (B2C/B2B) Practical use of AI SEO tools (Semrush AIO, AI Rank Tracker) Knowledge of Schema Markup, Voice Search Optimization, and E-E-A-T implementation Initial experience with automation tools such as n8n or Make Nice-to-have: Knowledge of SQL basics, Zapier, Airtable, or similar tools Additional language skills (e.g. German) We know you might not tick every single box – but if you bring the right mix of dedication and enthusiasm, we can achieve great things together.
