Technical Lead in Energy Transition
We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Technical Lead to join our growing energy team in Germany. The role focuses on driving growth and excellence across our energy portfolio, particularly within electrical grid modernization, energy generation, battery energy storage systems, and heat networks.
The successful candidate will lead energy projects, organize technical delivery in Germany, ensure technical excellence, and develop skills and capabilities. They will also be a growth leader and advocate for the company in Germany through trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and implement energy strategy in Germany
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships
* Drive business development activities to expand the energy transition portfolio
* Define and execute clear project and program delivery strategies
Project Delivery and Technical Excellence:
* Lead multidisciplinary teams across regions and business lines
* Ensure technical solutions comply with German and EU regulations, grid codes, safety, and environmental standards
* Oversee high-quality project delivery on time and within budget
* Provide expert guidance and serve as lead verifier for feasibility studies, design reports, and technical documentation
Team Development and Innovation:
* Build, mentor, and lead the energy team in Germany
* Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and digital innovation
* Support technical skills development and capability building within the team
Profile:
* Proven experience delivering complex energy projects in the German energy sector
* Strong technical expertise in HV/MV/LV electrical systems
* Degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in High Voltage Electrical Engineering
* Data Center experience is an advantage
* Minimum 15 years of professional experience, ideally within the energy sector (public and/or private)
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with authorities, network operators, contractors, and suppliers
