Role Summary
The role of Senior Solution Architect is to take ownership of a solution within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation project. The Solution Architect provides leadership and direction to the on‑site implementation team on the design and execution of the solution and definition of business‑process workflows that accompany the solution.
Responsibilities
* Lead WMS transformational projects and serve as the main point of contact.
* Design advanced creative solutions, including integration and other technical aspects.
* Drive end‑to‑end implementation of the WMS solution and integrations from design to go‑live.
* Lead design workshops for internal projects and participate in critical phases of partner implementations, providing recommendations on overall supply‑chain execution solution architecture, requirements, end‑to‑end workflows (WMS, TMS, WLM, WCS, Warehouse Automation/Robotics) and the integration needs within execution systems and host systems (ERP, Replenishment Planning, etc.).
* Partner with project managers in planning efforts.
* Offer mentorship and product‑level leadership to the broader Customer Success team.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven techno‑functional leadership of Blue Yonder WMS implementations (relevant solutions consulting and implementation experience with other leading supply‑chain planning solutions may be considered).
* Strong domain knowledge of Supply Chain organization within at least one of the following industries: Retail, Manufacturing, or 3PL.
* Understanding or experience of agile methodology concepts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to drive discussions on both functional processes and technical concepts in a language that can be understood across a diverse audience and multiple levels, including C‑level.
* Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills; strong troubleshooting skills (application and technical).
* Good understanding of end‑to‑end execution workflows, architecture, integration, and project lifecycle, with the ability to define implementation plans and identify cross‑functional dependencies.
* SQL, relational DB systems.
* Experience with any programming language (ability to read and work with code).
* Windows/Unix basics and SQL experience.
* Willingness to travel.
* Fluent in English.
* German, French, Spanish, or Italian fluency highly desirable.
