The Institute CASUS is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) - Electrochemical swing adsorption of carbon dioxide.
Your tasks
1. Performing quantum mechanical and ML-based simulations to determine CO2 adsorption energies
2. Application of self-consistent continuum solvation models to account for solvation effects
3. Collaborating with peers including experimental project partners
4. Publishing results in academic and peer-reviewed journals
5. Presenting results at scientific meetings
Your profile
6. Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science or related field
7. Knowledge of Density Functional Theory (DFT)
8. Familiarity with artificial intelligence methods
9. Good knowledge of electronic structure methods
10. Experience with Linux, Git and related tools
11. Knowledge in the field of high-performance computing
12. Strong motivation to work in a collaborative environment
13. Excellent communication skills in English and in a professional context
