The Role:
1. Actively source and identify investment opportunities within the renewable energy sector, focusing on wind and solar projects in the CEE region, through market research, networking, and industry contacts
2. Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, modeling, operational reviews, and risk assessments. Present detailed investment proposals to the Investment Committee
3. Oversee the full lifecycle of direct equity investments, from structuring (debt and equity) and negotiations to closing deals in greenfield, repowering, and late-stage development assets across renewable energy and energy transition technologies in targeted CEE markets
4. Negotiate key contracts for projects in the CEE region, including SPA, O&M, TCMA, MSA, TSA, and EPC agreements
5. Work closely with asset management teams to drive operational improvements, strategic growth initiatives, and overall value creation
6. Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting traditional energy sectors
7. Engage with limited partners and stakeholders, offering insights on investment strategies and portfolio performance
8. Lead a team of Investment Management Associates and Analysts
The Person:
9. Strong expertise and experience in renewable energy, ideally within the CEE region
10. Proven experience in early and greenfield-stage renewable energy projects, preferably with a leading investment firm, strategic developer, IPP, or bank (buy-side)
11. A successful track record in direct alternative investments
12. Background in private equity
13. Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach
14. A degree in business, economics, finance, or another relevant investment-related field
15. Proficiency in business English; knowledge of a CEE region language is a plus
