Senior Internal Auditor (m/f/d) for Finance Practice at Allianz SE

At Group Audit, we collaborate with and lead the Internal Audit functions of the Allianz Group operating entities (OEs) to support the Board of Management and Audit Committee in the supervision and assessment of the Internal Control System.
You will be part of the Finance Practice team at Group Audit and play a critical role as a valued advisor to the business with in-depth knowledge of finance topics. We seek for colleagues with an excellent level of technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
* plan, design, lead and conduct internal audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of organizational internal control systems. You will contribute to the development and execution of audit plans, including scoping, risk assessment, audit execution and control testing, and reporting, in accordance with industry standards and internal audit methodologies
* support the design and maintenance of audit work programs
* identify deficiencies and vulnerabilities, and assist auditees in deriving feasible action plans for improving the organization as well as internal control environment
* cultivate strong relationships and actively share knowledge within the global Internal Audit community
* collaborate with other audit teams of the Allianz Group and cross-functional areas such as Risk Management and Compliance to provide guidance and support on overarching topics
* communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing timely updates on audit progress and outcomes
* drive the use of data analytics and AI in audits and processes
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
* University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Mathematics or Quantitative Models
* Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in the area of Actuarial and Risk Management (quant)
* Profound understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, financial and non-financial risks and internal controls within the insurance industry
* Capacity to manage large projects and to engage with stakeholders
* Excellent English communications skills (verbal and written) and the ability to listen with empathy
* A self-motivated, proactive and committed working style, as well as the ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures
* Strong intellectual and analytical skills and solid understanding of processes, structures and regulatory environment for the life and health insurance sector
* Experience and passion to constantly adapt to new environments and act as a change agent
* Quick comprehension, strong strategic thinking, creativity and a high degree of flexibility
* High level of integrity, reliability and responsibility
* Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders
* Ability to take ownership, work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Advanced DA / AI skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in Accounting, Tax, Planning and Controlling or Internal Audit
* Professional certifications such as Certified Actuary or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager Certification (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA),Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) are a plus
* Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
* Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
