Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting professional to lead statutory financial processes for five legal entities across Germany and Austria.
* Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, notes, and management reports.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading GAAP-to-GAAP adjustments and ensuring audit readiness for four audited entities.
* Coordinating actuarial valuations for defined benefit plans and managing assets.
* Analyzing and calculating deferred taxes under US-GAAP and maintaining documentation.
* Supporting intercompany pricing models and recharges.
* Providing accounting advisory services to cross-functional teams and supporting corporate audits.
* Contributing to global and local projects with accounting expertise.
* Driving process improvements and knowledge sharing across finance teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
* At least 7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Strong knowledge of German Commercial Code and US-GAAP.
* Experience with statutory reporting, pension accounting, and deferred tax calculations.
* Proficiency in SAP FI and Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent written and spoken German skills and fluent English skills.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex topics into actionable processes.
* Confident communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Hands-on approach with a high level of customer orientation.
* Strategic thinking with a drive for impact and continuous improvement.
