To strengthen our team in Aachen, we are looking for an experienced Senior Director R&D (m/f/d) who will play a key role in advancing our development portfolio and driving medical innovation.
Your Responsibilities:
As a senior leader within our R&D organization, you will
* Design and manage development programs for medicinal products in anaesthesia and intensive care
* Act as an internal and external expert in these therapeutic areas
* Engage with scientific experts and key opinion leaders to discuss strategies and innovative concepts
* Evaluate, prioritize, and strategically develop new R&D projects
Your profile
* University degree in Medicine or Life Sciences; MD or PhD preferred
* Proven experience in anaesthesia, intensive care, or related medical specialties
* Approx. 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* Scientific expertise with leadership and strategic thinking
* In-depth knowledge across all stages of drug development (non-clinical, clinical, and CMC/formulation)
* Demonstrated leadership experience, both in project teams and line management
* Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific information effectively
* Basic knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance
* Self-organized, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
* Fluency in written and spoken English
