Key Role
Analyze Political, Military, Economic, Social Information, and Infrastructure (PMESII) factors influencing military and political strategy, the planning and execution of military operations, and the impact of domestic and foreign policy on space domain integration within the Area of Responsibility. Coordinate, support, and integrate space effects or capabilities into the development of Operational Plans (OPLANs), Execution Orders (EXORDs), and crisis action planning orders documentation, as well as Operational Planning Team (OPT) participation and Concept Plan (CONPLAN) edits. Provide joint military decision making process (JMDMP) planning and operations support for the development, planning, coordination, management, and execution of space operations to meet theater objectives. Provide operational, exercise, engagement planning, and subject matter expert (SME) support to identify and integrate space into all domain operations. Provide SME support to U.S. Space Forces. Work to provide support integrating space equities into core Combatant Command (CCMD) planning documents such as OPLANs, CONPLANs, and others that support caign and contingency plans. Assist in increasing European Command (EUCOM) staffs overall understanding of space domain and effects employment.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience in military planning at the headquarters level or higher such as Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Field Commands, or Space Operations Command 5+ years of experience with Space Experience in Joint Planning Process (J ) or Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) Experience with Security Cooperation Programs and applicability Knowledge of national security strategy and military doctrine Ability to develop and analyze strategic, operational, and caign plans

5+ years of experience on a Country Team Experience in the EUCOM and AFRICOM AORs Experience with Microsoft Office suite and military specific planning software such as JOPES Ability to present component command equities at planning conferences and OPTs Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and interpersonal skills Masters degree in Military Science or International Affairs Completion of Service, Joint Intermediate, or Senior level Professional Military Education Completion of JFC 200 Authorities Course Joint Planner Certification
