As an Electrical Engineer, you ensure the long-term technical performance, electrical safety, and reliability of Sunrock's operational solar energy systems. You are the internal point of reference for technical troubleshooting, earning trust by providing clear guidance, safeguarding quality, and contributing to the rollout of standardized SCADA solutions on the German portfolio. Your responsibilities include:
* Act as technical reference point within the Asset Management team for complex troubleshooting cases and performing root cause analyses.
* Analyse performance data and failure modes to identify patterns and propose reliability improvements;
* Collaborate with the Project Development and Project Management teams to ensure reliability considerations are integrated from design to operations;
* Provide deep technical expertise in Solar PV technology, Medium Voltage (AC) equipment and SCADA systems;
* Drive asset quality improvement initiatives and share lessons learned across projects and countries;
* Collaborate with the Data & IT team on asset data gathering and connections to Sunrock's IT infrastructure
* Take up the legal role of Responsible Electrical Engineer ("VEFK - Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft") for Sunrock's operational portfolio and supervise the activities of our contractors to ensure Electrical Safety compliance.
This is you:
* Strong technical background in solar PV systems, electrical engineering, or comparable energy technologies;
* Experience in reliability engineering, asset performance, or maintenance optimization (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA);
* Familiarity with monitoring tools, SCADA infrastructure and hardware
* Analytical mindset (curious) combined with practical problem-solving ability to make sure analyses are brought into practice;
* Strong communication skills: ability to translate technical insights into clear business recommendations and manage expectations of internal stakeholders that rely on your deliverables for their own work.
* Strong proficiency in German and English.
