ABOUT US:
The legal team is an internal service provider that supports Sportradar's fast growth by ensuring a solid and secure foundation. It includes several divisions to ensure integrity and trust are met and exceeded. These include:
* Corporate law
* Legal support sales
* Product Compliance and Licensing
* IP issues and infringements
Due to some exciting growth here at Sportradar we are looking for a Legal Counsel acting as an interface between mainly the global sales teams and the legal department.
The focus of this role will be to ensure the creation, development and maintenance of tailor-made contracts for the legally secure distribution and implementation of our products and services in a compliant way.
THE CHALLENGE:
* Drafting and negotiation of various service agreements (generally in English) to be handled in close collaboration with the sales team and other operational teams of Sportradar
* Prepare the final execution of agreements (internal and external communication)
* Examine, adjust and supplement existing agreements
* General Contracting, e.g. customer and supplier contracts and general contract management
* Elaborate and provide legal opinions (and undertaking the required research), particularly relating to contract law, the law on (sports) betting and gambling, copyright and media law, corporate law and the regulatory framework related to the same
* Coordination of the cooperation between the commercial departments and, to the extent required, external legal advisors
* Administrative and other project tasks
* Providing legal advice and training to the operational teams from different departments.
ABOUT YOU:
* 2+ years of relevant corporate experience (preferred) or in a law firm;
* You are familiar with legal topics related to sales and licensing contract related legal matters ideally also IP law, data protection law and corporate law
* Outstanding communication and writing skills in English. German written and verbal would be highly advantageous
* Ideally experience in working in a global environment across borders
* You have a pragmatic approach that is necessary in a our fast-paced and quickly changing environment
* You can work independently and autonomously.
