Could you be the full time Junior Service Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Siegen we’re looking for? This role is offering a fix term contract for 24 Months.
Your Future Role
Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Grzegorz Lasko and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
1. deal with different technical Service topics in the bogie and drives area
2. propose technical solution for diverse problems
3. define the assembly plans and analyzing possible technical non conformities
4. participate in tests, test drives, test definition inclusive acceleration, noise and strain measurement
5. develop new testing and problem solving methods
6. definition of the test programs and specifications together with external and internal partners
7. communication with the customer and technical authorities
8. independent research on diverse technical topics related to various service issues
9. autonomous creation, testing and approval of drawings and parts lists as well as assembly and repair instructions, approval of project-related technical reports, testing of specifications; if necessary, after consultation / approval of specialist (welding specialist, calculation etc.
10. offer support for manufacturing
11. leadership and technical instruction as well as support of the designer team consisting of internal and external employees
12. independent preparation of presentations ALSTOM internal and customers for technical decision making

13. Bachelor, Master or Technical School degree
14. Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings
15. Good knowledge of machine tolerances
16. Good knowledge of iron material properties and manufacturing processes, such as welding, machining and casting
17. Initial experience or interest in complex mechanical systems and rail vehicles
18. Advanced understating of machine construction
19. Good understanding of the mechanics and physics with ability to analyze the reaction forces for a simple mechanical system
20. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
21. Good handling of MS Excel, Power Point and Word
22. Catia or other 3D construction software skills would be an advantage
