What do you contribute?
* Lead engineering projects within the "System Integration" department, responsible for quality, cost, and timely delivery of innovative technical solutions, maintaining a holistic view of the locomotive system.
* Coordinate technical concepts with interface partners, lead cross-border project teams, and ensure smooth cooperation across nations.
* Develop and actively participate in technical solutions for the department.
* Create requirement specifications, plan machine room and roof layouts, perform technical clarifications, and prepare/check assembly documents for machine room cabinets and installations.
* Initiate patent applications for innovative solutions, utilizing proven standards while adhering to current regulations, instructions, standards, and laws.
* Support the implementation of technical solutions in our plants worldwide, including Germany, the USA, and India.
What do you bring along?
* Master's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a similar field.
* Several years of relevant experience in rail vehicle engineering or mechanical engineering in a comparable industry, with knowledge of norms and standards in rail vehicle design being advantageous.
* Experience coordinating technical tasks and leading international project teams; experience in international collaboration is a plus.
* Expertise in mechanical design, particularly sheet metal bending, welded constructions, and joining techniques.
* Experience dealing with customers, authorities, and suppliers.
* Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (preferably Creo Parametric) and PLM systems like SAP and Teamcenter.
* Fluent English skills, B2 or higher German skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* Ability to work remotely as part of our flexible working model.
