Welding Engineer / Welding Specialist in Work Preparation (m/f/d) possible in a four-day week
Your Tasks
* Close cooperation with sales and production in supporting technically demanding orders
* Creation and integration of welding sequence plans into production orders
* Monitoring and expansion of existing approvals
* Advising and supporting specialist departments on quality-related welding issues
* Organization and implementation of in-house training and further education events
* Creating and managing welding procedure specifications (WPS) and approvals (WPAR)
* Establishing and maintaining a systematic knowledge pool on welding processes and welding technologies
* Planning production orders with the aim of optimizing machine utilization in terms of cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery dates
* Provision of production documents and occupancy plans
* Control of efficient use of raw materials
* Participation in machine and shift occupancy plans with regard to capacity utilization and requirements
* Support in the introduction of new welding technologies
* Documentation and creation of specifications for the procurement of corresponding components
Your Profile
* Degree in mechanical engineering (specializing in materials technology) or comparable training
* Qualification as a European welding engineer or welding specialist
* Experience in thin sheet metal welding (stainless steel, material thicknesses 1-3 mm) is an advantage
* Knowledge of the AD-2000 regulations, the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, the welding and testing regulations (ISO 3834-2) and the NDT procedures according to DIN EN ISO 9712
* Good written and spoken English skills
