About the Job:
You will join a Mixed-Signal ASIC design team in Bochum, Germany, for an internship in a high-speed/ high-resolution data converter circuit design program (ADC, analog-to-digital converter) aimed to empower future test and measurement products. You will get experience with the tools, skills, insights and tradeoffs necessary for successful integrated circuit design. About the Team:
Within several world-wide teams Keysight's Advanced Technology Labs Mixed-Signal ASIC Design Section develops (and often publishes) the world’s-fastest data converters and other mixed-signal integrated circuits as well as analog signal conditioning circuits using a variety of state-of-the art semiconductor technologies. Our chips provide the speed and accuracy performance that enable many of Keysight’s world-leading electronic test and measurement products.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
You will do designs and simulations within a circuit program targetting the analog frontend of one of our next generation ADC chips. Design may be at the block or circuit level, and simulation may include circuit simulation, electromagnetic simulation, and/or high-level custom software simulation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Enrolled in a MS or PhD EE program
2. Strong skills in transistor-level design of mixed-signal CMOS and/or BiCMOS circuits
3. Familiar with schematic entry / layout / simulation tool flow (preferably Cadence)
4. Familiar with the use of one or more software scripting tools to support design, such as Bash, Python, PERL, Awk or SKILL
Desired Qualifications:
5. Experience with high-speed designs (> 1 GHz)
6. Experience in data converter calibration and analysis in particular related to ADCs
7. Good communication and collaboration skills

8. Right to work in Germany is required.
9. This position requires access to technical data regulated under export controls by the U.S Government. If an export license is required, employment may not commence until such a license is received
Keysight Internship Program Requirements
We are currently seeking candidates for a 3–6 month internship opportunity.
Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in an accredited college/university as of January. Applicants who have graduated before January will not be considered unless they are starting an MS or PHD program after graduating.
