Position Summary
The Head of Government Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility (GR & CSR), Europe will be responsible for shaping and executing JD’s public affairs and sustainability strategies across the European region. This role will lead stakeholder engagement with European institutions, governments, and industry associations, while driving CSR and ESG initiatives aligned with JD’s global values and business priorities.
The successful candidate will bring deep policy insight, a strong network in European regulatory and business circles, and the ability to bridge global and regional perspectives in a fast-growing multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Government Relations (GR)
* Develop and implement JD’s government relations and public policy strategy across Europe.
* Establish and maintain relationships with EU institutions, governments, regulators, and trade associations.
* Monitor, analyze, and advise on policy and regulatory developments impacting cross-border e-commerce, logistics, data privacy, and sustainability.
* Represent JD in public policy dialogues, industry forums, and advocacy initiatives.
* Provide strategic advice and policy insights to JD’s global leadership team.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
* Lead JD’s CSR and sustainability initiatives in Europe, with a focus on responsible supply chains, environmental protection, and community engagement.
* Align European CSR programs with JD’s global ESG framework and corporate strategy.
* Manage external partnerships with NGOs, community organizations, and sustainability networks.
* Oversee CSR communication, reporting, and reputation enhancement efforts in Europe.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Collaborate closely with internal teams across Corporate Affairs, Legal, ESG, Operations, and Communications.
* Act as a cultural and operational bridge between JD headquarters in China and local European teams.
* Support reputation management, media engagement, and crisis communication when needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in government relations, corporate affairs, sustainability, or CSR — preferably within multinational corporations or technology/logistics industries.
* Deep understanding of European Union institutions, policy-making processes, and ESG regulations.
* Proven ability to engage effectively with senior policymakers, regulators, and business associations.
* Track record of designing and executing CSR or sustainability programs at a regional or global level.
* Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to operate in a global matrix organization.
