Title:Senior Relationship Manager MidCorp - Senior Vice President - Hybrid (German Speaker)Business:Commercial BankDivision:Western Europe Digital HubOfficer Title: SVPC-Grade:C14Location:FrankfurtLegal Entity:20407 Citibank Europe Plc GermanyRole posed until: 10th April 2025To drive its global expansion strategy, the Citi Commercial Bank ("CCB") is deepening its presence in Germany to support internationally-oriented German mid-market ("Mittelstand") companies. CCB's growth plans are aligned to industries which are strategically important in the German market. We are looking to hire a MidCorp Senior Relationship Manager (Senior Vice President) with experience in the German middle-market. Special attention will also be given to fast growth disruptors that aim to scale-up their cross-border operations.The successful candidate should have a proven track record in acquiring new clients, originating new business, client coverage skills to deepen relationships, with ability to call at the CEO/CFO level. Strong corporate finance, credit, and transaction execution skills are required. Corporate and Commercial Banking experience is preferred, with good knowledge of Investment Banking products. Prior banking experience in Germany with strong knowledge and connectivity in the local market.Responsibilities:Develops new relationships and acquires new customers for the bank in GermanyCalls on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectationsIntroduces solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolioWorks with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients' individual needsWorks closely with Case Manager on the on-boarding and retention of clients, ensuring the appropriate "Know Your Client" (KYC) and other compliance deliverables are metIdentifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of walletMaximizes client experience by proactive sharing markets updates, trend and intelligenceDrives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriateExecution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levelsNetworks with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunitiesAdministrate the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processesEnsures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all timeAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:Demonstrable relevant experience (10 years or more)Sound knowledge of banking products and process as well as a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clientsDemonstrates advanced credit skills; structures more complex deals, including global transactionsDemonstrates an expert level of Early Warning Detection skillsDemonstrates expert level credit skills; capable of structuring all credit deals and guiding staff through the credit deal approval processDemonstrates advanced Citi's credit-process and credit-appetite knowledgeAbility to work effectively in team settingAbility to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experienceExcellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisionsHighly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities, clearly communicate the prioritiesAccountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business.A proactive approach in looking for ways in strengthening business relationship with clients, delivers a simple, secure and seamless client experienceAbility to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clientsAble to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insightsFluency in English and German required (written and spoken)Education:Bachelor's/University degree, Masters degree preferredThis Role is a "Controlled Function" Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015Job Family Group:Commercial and Business SalesJob Family:Relationship ManagementTime Type:Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi") invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
