SAP Archiving Expert - Decommissioning Systems Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a SAP Expert who has previous project experience in Decommissioning legacy SAP infrastructures, to join a project in Berlin. This is working for our consultancy client. Key responsibilities: * Analyse, evaluate, and develop the current SAP decommissioning solution. * Ensure stability, audit compliance, and long-term sustainability of the decommissioning approach. * Identify and address weaknesses in the existing AvenDATA solution. * Support vendor interactions and evaluate alternative software solutions. * Act as a technical and strategic partner for business units and IT. * Assist in decision-making, system selection, and solution design. Skills required: * Experience in at least 2 projects involving implementation/evaluation/operation of SAP decommissioning tools (e.g., JiVS IMP, SAP ILM, PBS, OpenText). * Led or supported project involving structured selection of decommissioning/archive solutions (including RFPs, evaluation matrices, PoCs, and management-ready decision templates). * Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders (finance, legal, data protection). Nice to have: * Knowledge of leading market products for SAP decommissioning and their architectures. * Experience conducting or evaluating PoCs in SAP environments. * Basic understanding of SAP Basis, authorizations, and archiving infrastructure (e.g., ArchiveLink, ILM rules). * Awareness of information security and compliance related to data retention and access.
